NERPS Special Lecture jointly organized with Mistra Geopolitics

Special Lecture: The geopolitics of sustainability transformations

October 28, 2022 (Friday, 10:00-11:00 AM JST)

2nd Floor Large Conference Room, MIRAI CREA

About the Lecture

This NERPS Special Lecture addresses the geopolitical risks and opportunities arising from three interconnected societal transformations: global environmental change, societal transformations towards sustainability goals, and the rapid deployment of transformative technologies. It discusses how these transformative processes are re-making the scene for global politics and governance, and thereby shaping the prospects for advancing the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement. The presentation will draw on findings from the 8-year research programme Mistra Geopolitics (www.mistra-geopolitics.se) and its analyses of the geopolitics of decarbonization food security, sustainable oceans, and emerging technologies.

This lecture is jointly organized with Mistra Geopolitics and funded by Mirai 2.0.
